The short version. Kyra, TradesViz, Kinfo, UltraTrader, Plancana, and P&L Ledger currently document a real free entry point on iPhone. They are not equivalent. Kyra leaves manual trade logging unlimited and charges for deeper analysis. TradesViz allows a large monthly execution allowance. Kinfo makes broker auto-sync part of its free entry. UltraTrader limits portfolios/live trades. Plancana keeps manual journaling and weekly analytics free while paid plans add more AI/sync capability. P&L Ledger keeps its core P&L calendar and drawdown view free.

Kyra: free logging, paid depth
Kyra's current free boundary is straightforward: trade logging is not the paywall. You can keep recording trades without a Kyra account, with the journal stored on-device and optionally synchronized through private iCloud. The free plan includes the first detected pattern; Premium unlocks deeper pattern access and other Premium features.
This is a fit when the main concern is “Can I keep building my record without hitting a trade-count wall?” It is not a fit when the free requirement includes broker auto-sync, a web app, or replay.
TradesViz: a large free analytics allowance
TradesViz currently advertises 3,000 executions per month on the free plan, automatic broker sync, 80+ performance charts, unlimited tags and notes, and a daily P&L calendar. Its current iPhone/iPad app shares the hosted journal with the web product. This is a materially different free proposition from Kyra: broader hosted analytics/import in exchange for an account-backed service.
Kinfo: free broker-verified tracking
Kinfo's free plan currently includes broker auto-sync, basic analytics, and a verified profile. Its product centers on importing data from the broker as the source of truth, with optional public sharing. Advanced reports, full history, data export, and other advanced capabilities sit in paid tiers.
UltraTrader: free core journal with capacity limits
UltraTrader's current plan page lists one free portfolio, eight live trades, and unlimited finished trades. Its current App Store positioning says users can start free with analytics and upgrade for automated broker sync and unlimited imports. Because the provider's plan table and marketing copy do not describe every import boundary identically, verify the exact broker/CSV capability you need before relying on it.
Plancana: free manual journal and weekly analytics
Plancana currently keeps manual trade journaling, weekly performance analytics, and its trading-plan generator free, with a short Trading Mentor trial for new users. Paid plans expand the analytics/AI layer and add automatic sync for supported platforms. If your broker is outside that supported set, the free manual journal remains the relevant baseline.
P&L Ledger: free calendar-first tracking
P&L Ledger's current plan page marks the P&L Calendar and drawdown chart as free. Premium adds advanced analytics, export, multiple accounts, and saved trading screenshots. It is the clearest example here of a free plan built around maintaining a visual daily P&L habit rather than a large free analytics suite.
Why some older rows disappeared
The July version of this page listed free-tier caps for products such as SuperTrader and TradeReview. We removed those rows because the exact caps used in that comparison were not re-verifiable from a current first-party plan surface during this pass. A shorter current table is more useful than stale precision.
